After writing for the Hong Kong Movie News Magazine, Xi Xi also began to work on some film scripts.

In April 1966, Xi Xi became a columnist for “Camera Eye” from the 4th issue 4 of Hong Kong Movie News Magazine.

In August 1966, at the invitation of Stephen Soong, Xi Xi wrote a script for the film The Splendour of Youth (1967), directed by Chun Kim, starring Jenny Hu and Fung Bo Bo, based on the novel Little Women. She also wrote more than 10 song lyrics for the film. 

In October 1968, Xi Xi wrote the script for The Window (1968). The film was directed by Kong Lung, and starred Patrick Tse and Josephine Siao, based on Wait Until Dark (1967).
